Hélène Caron is born in Laval in 1963. She works with a number of different techniques. While she typically employs a mix of acrylic paints with gels, plasters, or glazing she has also been known to use oils.
Caron’s foremost ambition is to surpass herself with the creation of each new piece. Her paintings, often described as ‘‘pop art’’, display the use of a vibrant, contemporary colour palette.
Animals are Caron’s favourite subject and, for her, everything is about the expression. To this end, she paints deep, expressive eyes that draw viewers into her work.
