A native of Cornwall, Ontario, Fernand Labelle settled in Québec in 1968. A graduate in political science, economics and contemporary French literature, he left a teaching career to concentrate on painting. Influenced by the work of Van Gogh, he passionately portrays Laurentian nature scenes in an impressionistic style.
He has produced many exhibitions and his works have been seen in several major cities in Canada and France. They are in demand by private and public collectors.
